What would you do if you were Prime Minister for the day?
I couldn’t really do anything. Any laws I wanted to pass would have to go through Parliament first. I’d just stay inside all day, otherwise I’d get egged.

What was the last thing you cried about?
The death of those poor onions on my chopping board…

If you could debate against anyone (living or dead) on any topic, who and what would you choose?
Being a big F1 fan, I would debate with Bernie Ecclestone on dropping the Canadian GP from this years racing schedule. Its a magnificent circuit.

Do you have a ‘party trick’? What is it?
I’m usually very good at double guessing. Whenever someone does that thing with a coin in their hands, shuffle behind their back, and then ‘pick a hand’ (can’t think of a better way to describe it), I can usually get it right 9/10 times, once I did it 14 times in a row.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
I would keep it. No rash buys, however dull it sounds. Just means I was safe, and could splash out on a luxury holiday whenever I felt like one.

What was the last thing you had a heated debate about and who was it with?
With my aunt. She is 50, and has been married for 20 years to a ‘sugar daddy’ of 70 years. I’m not saying she doesn’t love him, but she gets everything she wants without having to work for it. Yet she tells me, a poor and humble student, to go out and experience the world on my very meagre budget.

Do you have a favourite charity or cause?
Not particularly. I have been very lucky not to lose anyone close to me to any particular disease, thus emotionally connecting myself with such a charity. Though I did have to do a project on a charity for RE when I was younger, and I chose Alzheimers, so if I was feeling philanthropic, that is the one I would align myself to.

Could you survive without the internet?
Of course. I wouldn’t exactly be scrabbling on the floor, searching for loose berries and licking rocks, because Facebook was no longer available. The internet is a valuable commodity, but not indispensable.

Do you have a secret reality TV addiction? IF SO, CONFESS NOW!
Well, I suppose almost everything is reality TV now. Hate Big Brother and its ilk. I watch shows where the contestants need talent. Strictly I watch sometimes, but not X Factor, too much fake emotion. I’m really into Masterchef at the moment.

What are your favourite websites?
http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer (as a student, this is VITAL)

Sigur Ros- Hoppipolla
Adiemus- Karl Jenkins+BBC National Orchestra
Caesars- Jerk it Out
