The Debatewise Team: Ricky Durrance - PR & Marketing

What would you do if you were Prime Minister for the day?
I would reduce train prices to reflect the standard of service they give, which would mean free trains for all.
What was the last thing you cried about?
I almost shed a tear when Chelsea lost to Liverpool in the Champions League Semi final in 2005, but I managed to just about hold out. I think being heavily drunk helped.
If you could debate against anyone (living or dead) on any topic, who and what would you choose?
I would debate with Chairman Mao about the Great Leap Forward, as I could easily win and it would be funny to hear his defence.
Do you have a ‘party trick’? What is it?
I can shake my eyes, which usually makes people look away in disgust. So the trick is that it can clear a room.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
I’d buy a house in central London, New York, L.A, Tokyo, Sydney, Beijing and all the major cities and spend my life living in each for a few months at a time.
What was the last thing you had a heated debate about and who was it with?
Cant remember exactly, but more than likely it would be with one of my friends and involve West Ham and Chelsea.
Do you have a favorite charity or cause?
Not really but I would say probably ones that focus on clearing landmines as I’ve seen the damage they cause whilst in Cambodia.
Could you survive without the internet?
Yes easily! I only visit about six sites
Do you have a secret reality TV addiction? IF SO, CONFESS NOW!
I love children’s TV. My current favorites are Arthur and Gerald McBoing Boing, who is a boy who cant speak but can make really good sounds. Its amazing
What are your favorite websites?
chelseafc.com and the BBC news website.
What are the top 5 tunes on your i-tunes playlist?
My i-pod mainly consists of hardcore gangsta rap, so probably be something by Dr Dre, NWA, Snoop Dogg, Biggie Smalls or 2Pac.
